This is the second year of the holiday setback program. In 2008, the university saved about $7,000 in electrical and $23,000 in steam, for a total of about $30,000 over a 9-day period.

Facilities and Campus Services works year round to keep utility costs in check, even with increased prices and an overall increase in square footage on the campus.
