INTERNSHIPS
Internships are project-based opportunities that offer professional development experience. Interns follow a project management framework to identify a problem and create a plan that will lead to a solution. The intern team meets weekly and offers feedback to one another.

Greeks Go Green Intern
The successful candidate for this position will facilitate the Greeks Go Green program and empower Greek students to incorporate sustainability into their daily lives and chapter values through discussion and action. The intern will hold weekly meetings with chapter representatives, recruit and train new representatives when needed, and support the group as they work to implement sustainability-focused initiatives within their chapters. Requirements include regular and effective communication with representatives, Greek chapter presidents, and the Office of Student Engagement; exceptional problem-solving abilities; and accountability to self and others. Current Greeks Go Green representatives are encouraged to apply.

This position is only open to undergraduate students who are current members of a social or service Greek organization.

Waste Reduction Intern
The Waste Reduction Intern will work to create and implement various initiatives that reduce the amount of solid waste generated on campus. These may include, but are not necessarily limited to, waste studies; development of zero-landfill event plans; residence hall waste reduction  initiatives; move-in and move-out waste reduction and diversion campaigns; and related behavior change management efforts.

Propose a Unique Internship
Have a great idea for a sustainability-focused internship that’s not listed? We are always looking for new, innovative ways for students to generate sustainability-focused solutions on campus. To propose a unique internship, submit an outline of your proposal that includes an articulation of the need for the proposed project, evidence of the need, and the landscape of issues surrounding the project (environmental and social indicators, key stakeholders, etc.).

Meet our current intern team here.
