Call for First-Year Student Leaders
Incoming first-year students who are looking to develop their sustainability knowledge, leadership skills, and social network are encouraged to apply to join the Wake Forest Sustainability Leadership Group (SLG)!
Now in its seventh year, SLG brings together a small group of dedicated members who work together to spread a culture of sustainability throughout the first-year class at Wake Forest and beyond. This mission is achieved through three pillars: leadership development, education, and community building.
SLG members meet weekly to develop their leadership skills, teach each other about and discuss sustainability, and build community. There are also plenty of opportunities for fun and team bonding through an annual retreat and (optional, but highly encouraged) movie nights, meals, Campus Garden volunteer sessions, local hikes, and more!
Join over 100 SLG alumni and apply for our class of 2029 cohort! No experience required. Priority consideration will be given to applications received by Tuesday, August 19. The final deadline to apply is Sunday, September 7.
