Program Overview

Sustainability Ambassadors are a group of dedicated volunteers, peer educators, communicators, and peer leaders who help further Wake Forest’s culture of sustainability and Pro Humanitate ethos. Ambassadors are committed to working together and amongst their peers to raise the profile of sustainability initiatives on campus, develop engaging events, and provide tactical support for existing projects. No two experiences will be identical, as Sustainability Ambassadors are encouraged to chart their own path within the program, choosing from opportunities such as outreach events, social media efforts, speaking to peer organizations, tabling, volunteering on campus and in the community, sustainable event planning, campaign development, and more.

Who Can Become a Sustainability Ambassador?

The Sustainability Ambassadors program is open to all members of the Wake Forest community: undergraduate students, graduate and professional students, staff, and faculty. No prior knowledge or experience is required; all that is needed is an interest in sustainability, a willingness to learn, and a desire to make a positive impact on campus.

The program operates as two distinct groups: Students and Staff/Faculty.
