Welcome back, Wake! It’s exciting to have your energy back on campus and in the Campus Garden. We have had quite the kickoff to the school year with pre-orientation groups like LEAP and WakeWell in the garden, as well as an exciting Dig In! Thanks to all who came out to meet our interns and learn more about the Office of Sustainability and the Campus Garden.
If you missed Dig In or loved your time in the garden and want to spend more time out there this semester, come to our Connect and Cultivate volunteer hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6 pm and Sundays from 3-4 pm, starting the week of September 15th. Connect and Cultivate is a great way to meet new people and get involved on campus while enjoying the nice weather!
There are several weeks of growing season left, thanks to our mild climate here in the Piedmont, and we can look forward to harvesting okra, beans, and all sorts of squash later this fall!
