Interested in taking a front row seat to our local food system? Want to start testing your green thumb? Come out to the Campus Garden (1141 Polo Road) this summer to volunteer and learn the basics of regenerative agriculture and its effect on our climate and campus.
Volunteer hours are open to all campus community members (staff, faculty, and students), and no prior experience is needed. Volunteers will learn how to prepare beds, transplant seedlings, weed, and harvest produce over the course of the summer. Please come out in clothes you are comfortable getting dirty in, closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle for the hot days ahead! Water and an indoor restroom are available on site.
Bring a colleague, or your whole team! The garden is a great place to host team-building activities, so if you are looking for a team outing, reach out to Sarah Rodgers () to start the conversation.
Volunteer hours are drop-in, so please come at a time that works for you and stay as long as you would like. Add the Campus Garden Google Calendar to plan your hours and join summer volunteer hours every Tuesday, starting June 9th, from 9:00am – 12:00pm (come when you can and leave when you want!).
